I believe the best government is one that stays out of our lives with minimal, but necessary regulation. I believe the most pressing issue before us and this nation is that of apathy; doing nothing will eventually lead to the downfall of this nation. The John and Jane Does need to get up and out of their armchairs and once again – believe and get involved. I believe in selfless service throughout our lives. From a governmental standpoint, I believe in term limits. While I understand that the electorate can remove a career politician with their vote, they rarely do. I think that four two-year terms for the House and two four-year terms for the Senate, and same for Governor, would likely solve many of our problems. Serve, then go “back to the farm” and serve your fellowmen in another capacity. I think this is what is needed in this election year more than ever.I believe there is good in every man, woman, and child in this nation and state. To sum things up, I want to serve in the capacity of your State Senator where I will continue to listen, and be open and accessible to you.
